About Sawariyan
Sawariyan is a free, browser-based home for the South Asian card games we grew up playing. Court Piece (Rung / Hokm) is live today; Indian Rummy and Teen Patti are next on the build list. Open a lobby, share the invite link, and you are at the same table as your friends in seconds — no installs, no logins, no advertisements.
We built Sawariyan because the existing options for playing these games online either felt cold and corporate, were buried in advertisements, or pushed real-money gambling. Sawariyan is none of those things. It is the digital equivalent of pulling out a deck of cards on a Friday night.
Tournament Registration Open
Badrung Trump Championship #1 is open now. This is Sawariyan's first authentic online Rung tournament, with players competing from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and beyond.
Deadline: 24 May 2026 · Managed by Sawariyan, powered by BugXTech.

Cards, bids, the trump reveal, the pile sweep — every move syncs in real time across all four seats.
Games on Sawariyan
Sawariyan is built as a multi-game portal. Court Piece is the first live table. Rummy and Teen Patti are in design — same engine, same brand, same invite-link flow.
Why Sawariyan
Sawariyan is for play. There is no wallet, no buy-in, no cashout. You bring your friends; we bring the cards.
We do not need to follow you around the internet to keep this project running. The code is simple, the database is small.
The default presets match how families actually play these games at home, not how a casino designer thinks they should be played.
The lobby, the table, the hand of cards — everything reflows cleanly to a phone. The same invite link works on every device.
Frequently asked
Sawariyan is a free, browser-based portal for live multiplayer South Asian card games — Court Piece (Rung / Hokm), and soon Rummy and Teen Patti. There is no app to install and no account to create. You open a lobby, share a link, and play with friends in real time.
Yes, Sawariyan is completely free. There are no advertisements, no in-app purchases, and no real-money gambling. We do not pay out cash and we do not accept stakes — Sawariyan is for play, not betting.
No. You only need a display name, which you pick when you sit down at a table. Your stats are stored locally and tied to the table for the duration of the match.
Court Piece is a strictly four-player game played in two teams of two. Sawariyan handles all four seats live in the same browser-based table. Future games (Rummy, Teen Patti) will scale up to six players.
Yes — Sawariyan is fully responsive. The lobby, table, hand of cards and chat all reflow for phones, tablets and desktops, and the same invite link works on every device.
The default preset is Hidden Rung 5-3-3 — the most common ruleset on home tables: opening hand of 5 cards, hidden trump, first pile claimed by 2 trick wins in a row, every pile after that needs 3 in a row, and pile claims unlock from trick 5 onwards. Double Sir / Ace Rule and Show Rung presets are listed as 'coming soon' so you can see what's on the roadmap.
Court Piece — also known as Rung in Pakistan and India, and Hokm in Iran and Afghanistan — is a staple at family gatherings, university hostels, chai shops and weddings across South Asia and the broader Persianate world. It is the most popular trick-taking partnership card game in the region.
Sawariyan is an online-only multiplayer experience — every seat at the table needs an internet connection. We do not currently ship a single-player or pass-and-play mode.
